Pitched roofs are like any other roof type exposed to different climate changes which is a reason why its insulation is very important. in pitched roofs, if necessary rafters are installed on the roof structure with XPS insulation boards in between to provide a good insulation against heat transfer and water penetration. Then the Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is screwed on top. Finally, waterproof layer and the final roof tiles such as shingles are installed.
